Challenges

To be eligible for OCMQG Challenge prizes, you must be a dues paying member of the Orange County Modern Quilt Guild. To be eligible for MQG Challenge prizes, you must be a member of The Modern Quilt Guild. The OCMQG is a member of the MQG.

March 24, 2016 OCMQG Modern State Star / Log Cabin Challenge 

Create a quilted item inspired by a traditional state star block or traditional log cabin. There shortest size must be at least 20" long.

For traditional state star blocks, try googling "state star block" to reach sites that have patterns and pictures.

Judging will take place at the March monthly meeting by popular vote based on achieving the theme and the tenets of modern quilting. Prizes will be awarded!
