Philantrophy 2015

The New Year is just around the corner.  I'm excited to begin our philanthropy efforts for 2015.  We have had some suggested for things to do and we are looking into them.  If there is anything you would like us to look into or participate in - just let me know.  (Thank you Karen Alders for making contact with CHOC.)

Currently, we are looking at the following:
  • The Million Pillowcase Challenge (see previous blog post for details)
  • CHOC - Baby quilts, bed covers to cover incubators and crib mattresses.
    • Dimensions 36 X 48 are best.
    • There are Precut kits available for their special incubators.
    • Sewing Retreat at Choc on February 28th.
  • Any other organization to donate quilts.
So keep those donations of material and batting coming.  We are looking forward to another very successful year.

2015 sew dates for philanthropy are as follow:
  • Sunday, March 8, 2015
  • Sunday, June 14, 2015
  • Sunday, September 13, 2015
  • At our Holiday Party in December!
Mark your calendar!  Hope to see you there.

I will be bring my "blue philanthropy basket" to each meeting to distribute and collect projects and donations.

Thank you in advance for your continued participation.

  1. I think it's amazing the effort you have put in to this endeavour. I wish that more people would be more generous with their time and effort, it would really make the world a better place. Me and my husband are going to run the London marathon next year to raise money for children with Hirschsprungs disease. (It's a rare condition)
